Topic

This webinar will provide an overview of school improvement plans (SIP) and highlight the opportunity to leverage these plans to strengthen student health and wellness. It will describe the general process schools use to develop SIPs, the variability across school districts and states, and how the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model provides a valuable framework for the SIP assessment, planning and development process. Speakers from Arkansas and Colorado will share their experiences working with schools to incorporate health and wellness goals and activities into SIPs. NACDD will also introduce a new publication designed to promote a deeper understanding of SIPs to education partners and outline opportunities for incorporating health and wellness, highlighting examples from various schools and districts across the country.
