LAST CHANCE to send a message about the importance of protecting Medicaid!

Now that the U.S. Senate has narrowly passed the budget reconciliation bill it's back to the House where leaders are planning for a final vote before July 4. This is your last chance to send a message about the importance of protecting Medicaid. The budget bill being considered will be a devastating blow to Michigan families and communities, and one of the most harmful pieces of health care legislation we’ve seen in years.
The Protect MI Care coalition's website has a direct link with a form to fill out to easily send your message to Congress. Currently, 2.6 million people — or one in four Michiganders — receive health insurance through Medicaid, and the program covers more than 45% of all births, nearly 40% of children’s health services and 1 million children.
Michigan Council for Maternal and Child Health (MCMCH) is one of more than 240 state organizations in Protect MI Care, a multi-sector coalition dedicated to defending health care for the 2.6 million Michiganders who rely on Medicaid.
