MASN Legislative Update

On February 24, 2016 legislation was introduced by Senator Debbie Stabenow and Senator Gary Peters to hire more school nurses and improve student health. On February 26, 2016 Senator Debbie Stabenow and Senator Gary Peters and Representative Lois Capps introduced the Hallways to Health Act (S.2590/H.R.4621) legislation that would provide federal support for high-quality comprehensive health care and mental health services to students at school-based health centers across the country.

The Michigan Association of School Nurses sent a thank you letter to both Senator Stabenow and Senator Peters as well as an e-mail. The thank you letters are attached.
