A Message from our State School Nurse Consultant

Both the Departments of Health and Human Services and Education along with the Michigan Association of School Nurses are working together on an initiative to enhance professional development for school nurses.

We plan to host our first Community of Practice phone meeting January 11, 2017 from 2:30 - 3:30 pm. Our goal is to provide a monthly forum to address issues of importance to school nursing practice across the state of Michigan, in particular issues related to care coordination for students with chronic health conditions.

After you "register" or enroll in the meeting, you will receive the web meeting link and telephone number (note: we will only be using the telephone number for this first meeting). Registering is quick and easy and will only require you to enter your name and email address. This first meeting will introduce you to state and national school nursing leaders, outline the proposed plan to meet monthly, and provide updates from the field that impact your practice.
